Before this project, we had no experience with remodeling. We interviewed many contractors before choosing Payman and his team, and we never felt rushed into making a decision.

Payman was patient, transparent, and set clear expectations from the beginning. Throughout the project, the team stayed organized and kept everything on track despite supply chain challenges.

We had weekly meetings where Payman reviewed progress, flagged issues, and proposed solutions. He was always available to answer questions, even outside of meetings.

We were out of the country for three months during construction, and Payman ensured everything continued smoothly, providing updates via video calls.

Even after completion, he continued to support us with fixes and improvements. Our experience exceeded expectations, and we feel very fortunate to have worked with this team.

We interviewed a lot of contractors before we decided to go with Payman. A few things which set him apart from the other contractors we talked to were: 1) How honest and upfront he was about the details of the construction, possible issues and cost overruns. 2) The quality and attention to detail he had in his past projects (we were able to see the houses for one of his previous clients, and another new construction he was selling).

As the project started, Payman was really efficient at managing the project and communicating the details and deadlines. We had a weekly meeting with him to discuss progress, any issues which came up and also a list of decisions he needed from us to make sure the project stayed on track. He is also always reachable and available to answer any questions. 

His crew was also always professional and courteous and Payman made sure he dealt with the subcontractors so we didn’t have to worry about dealing with multiple people. He has good connections and recommendations for various vendors, which helped us select a lot of premium finishes at a discount.

After the house was done and we moved in, Payman was always responsive and quick in resolving any issues which came up … and he went above and beyond at times when he wasn’t really required to.

I will highly recommend Payman and his team and if we ever did another construction or remodel project, we would go with him again!!”

Bay Area Design & Construction completed a total rebuild of our home, and it turned out incredible. Our project was complex, involving a separate architect and landscape designer, along with specialty materials and multiple vendors.

Dario and Gino were always on-site supporting us and ensuring all parties worked together smoothly. They responded immediately to any questions or concerns. Payman also made thoughtful recommendations to improve the functionality of our home.

When there were delays with the city, Payman used his contacts to move things forward. When an appliance vendor had delays, he sourced the same appliances faster to keep the project on track.

If I could give Bay Area Design and Construction six stars, I would. This was the first time I actually enjoyed working with a contractor – Payman and the rest of the team were a pleasure to work with. We did a major remodeling work on our house – completely redid four bathrooms, kitchen, two fireplaces in family and living rooms, floors, tons of plumbing and electrical, all paint and just about everything else.

I could go on and on about the quality of work, but just look at the pictures – everyone said that’s the best-looking job they ever saw – both the craftsmanship and the way everything turned out. That’s the #1 thing that, I believe, sets them apart from others – their folks and people they bring are true craftsman that do an impeccable job – tile and kitchen surfaces, carpentry, floors, and everything else were done incredibly well.

Another positive was the way they handled complications that inevitably happen during any large project – nothing ever goes 100% according to the plan, and no large and complex task is ever 100% perfect on the very first attempt. There was nothing major, but there were minor hiccups, scheduling complexities because of the COVID and supply chain issues, we changed our minds here and there (I suppose everyone does occasionally) – they handled everything with ease and utmost professionalism. That is what I liked about Payman the most – he honestly wanted to do the right thing and make us happy, which is a rarity. I would definitely recommend and use them again!
