Our process

In our many years of experience in managing high-end construction projects from start to finish, we have developed a reliable process that allows us to complete projects on time, on budget, and to our clients’ satisfaction.

1

Initial Consultation

We begin the process with an initial consultation and office or site visit, during which we work with you to define the specific goals, budget, and requirements of your project. This allows us to determine the scope of the project and the need for permits, Design and Planning, custom architectural plans, or interior design consultations.

2

Preliminary Design

During the preliminary design phase, we take the measurements of your project space, draft floor plans, and develop the total design concept, taking into consideration state and local codes and design guidelines.

3

Final Plans + Permits

After you have approved the preliminary design, we complete a set of buildable plans and prepare the plans for the city approval process. We then submit the plans for permits and create a timeline for project completion.

Once the permits are approved by the city and the project is moving ahead, we meet with you frequently to ensure that you and our team have a shared understanding about what will happen and when it will happen. We discuss with you any supply chain issues and decisions that you need to make to keep the project on schedule.

We honor the contract price and do not add costs unless you initiate and agree to a change order.

Our dedicated project managers stay intimately involved throughout the project from the initial design to the completion of construction. Our expertise, attention to detail, and personal attentiveness ensure successful project completion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: How do project costs and estimates work?
Costs depend on scope, square footage, and material selections. Whether you are planning a complete remodel or building from scratch, we discuss your budget targets during our initial complimentary consultation and subsequently provide you with a transparent detailed proposal.

Q2: What payment methods and schedules do you accept?
We accept checks and bank wire transfers. Payments follow a milestone-based schedule outlined in your contract.

Q3: What types of projects do you specialize in?
We specialize in new home construction, home additions, residential remodeling, custom kitchen and bath remodels, and light commercial construction in Santa Clara County and San Mateo County.

Q4: What types of jobs do you NOT handle?
We do not do small handyman repairs or heavy industrial commercial projects.

Q5: What are your business hours and availability?
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We also offer daily support via text at (650) 241-8600 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Q6: Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes. We are general contractors fully licensed by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) with License #838562. We are also bonded and carry full liability and workers' compensation insurance.

Q7: What happens if I want to make changes during construction?
We honor our fixed contract pricing. If you request a change or addition we outline the scope, timeline impact, and costs for your approval before proceeding.

Q8: Do you handle city permits and local zoning regulations?
Yes. We manage the entire permit process—submitting architectural plans, addressing city feedback, and ensuring all work complies with local building codes.

Q9: How long does a typical remodel or new construction project take?
Timelines vary by scope. Minor remodels take a few weeks, while major additions or custom builds take several months. We provide a timeline before construction starts and work diligently to adhere to that timeline.
